All classes are conducted with a defined syllabus, with course guidelines, assessments and certifications. Sadaachaaram in etiquette and attendance requirements are prescribed to all students.

Sadaacharam and Etiquette

Following Sadaacharam is paramount to learning Vaidika Vidya. Since Vedam is in the form of Mantra (manana trayate iti mantra), there are very strict rules in reciting Mantras as ordained by Shastras –

  1. Maamsahaara Nishiddham (No Meat)
  2. Madhyapaana Nishiddam (No Alcohol)
  3. Dhumapaana Nishiddam (No Smoking)
  4. No classes during Jata (Birth) and Mrita (Death) Asoucham

Traditional Indian Attire Only:
  • Pancha-Kanduva for Gents learning Vedam is Mandatory.
  • Traditional Indian wear for Ladies learning Puranokta Pooja Classes.

Please Do NOT attend classes while multi-tasking. Sit in a comfortable seating position in a serene environment with photo/vigraha of your Ishta Daivam. This will ensure that all the learning in front of the deity becomes an offering to the deity.

If a student follows Sadaachaaram correctly during his/her learning, it will help the student imbibe the same values when they perform their own Nithya karmas.
